Gilmour is a small, simple and stylish restaurant in Chelsea, off Fulham Road SW10 offering a warm welcome to its guests. The menu is listed by the guide Zagat as British (modern) which means that is for all tastes and styles. The owner Christopher Gilmour is said to be “one of the most charming men you could ever meet” and son of a once-famous politician.
He made his name as a restaurateur with Christopher’s in Covent Garden and this second one Gilmour gives an impression to be more local and familiar. The walls are boldly coloured, with colourful lines style Paul Smith, the kitchen gleams silver and aquamarine, the atmosphere is inviting.
The good news is that all this is offered at reasonable prices, u can just have half lobster, burger, wine and dessert and a friendly and efficient service at just GBP 25,00 and if u are surprised the answer is yes you are in Chelsea, the poshest neighboroughood in London and no, u are not dreaming!
